Find any service veteran's memorial
plaque  on  the Caloundra Headland

The Caloundra Headland Memorial Walkway has nearly 2400 plaques honouring deceased veterans set into the footpath. Now, you can find your loved one's memorial plaque without having to walk its entire length.

The walkway is a registered war memorial administered by the Caloundra RSL Sub Branch, with plaques installed by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council. Until now, searching for a particular plaque involved walking along the 1.2km pavement, looking at the plaques either side — which made it easy to miss the plaque being sought. Now, thanks to work by Sub Branch volunteers, it's a simple matter of searching a database. To start a search or to find out more, click on the Memorial Walkway page.
